Hi, my name is Madeleine Green, and I am an artist, musician, educator, and the founder of Art of Creativity. I grew up in New York, Hong Kong, and London. As an undergraduate student, I studied at Emerson College's School of Visual & Media Arts, the Berklee College of Music, and the New England Conservatory of Music.
In 2023, I won the Mackie Podcast Pitch Competition for a radio story about my friendship with a 100-year-old woman who works in an antique shop. My story later aired on NPR. I am currently working on an illustrated children's book, a long-form radio story, and an album.
The Art of Creativity program was born out of a desire to foster curiosity, joy, and a love of creating. One of my core intentions is to help children develop positive relationships with the blank page. I believe that when we become better friends with uncertainty, it becomes easier to create in general and build a happy life. Children are brilliant and natural artists, and my hope is that through Art of Creativity, children will not only have fun, but come to realize that they can accomplish more than they ever imagined.
